Supports for Students

Overview

Supports for Students is comprised of three departments: Specialized Supports, Early Learning and New Curriculum, and Instructional Supports.

Services and Highlights

Supports for Students also provides services in these areas: literacy and numeracy; assessment; First Nations, Métis and Inuit support and education; specialized system programs; specialized supports (speech, language, occupational therapy, family school liaison workers, school counsellors); Healthy Schools Initiatives; community partnerships; second languages and English as a Second Language support; international students; field trips; parent concerns; and support to principals and schools in regard to student and operational issues.
