Budget
Elk Island Public Schools (EIPS) prepares a budget in the spring based on projected enrolment, funding, funding initiatives and Board-directed initiatives. The budget is based on the following principles:
- alignment with the mission and belief statements of EIPS;
- equitable distribution of funds and programs; and
- transparent and understandable allocations.
In the fall, the annual budget is updated to reflect actual September 29 enrolment, actual surplus/(deficit) carry-forward amounts, and any changes in funding.
