Logos Program Review

Project 3: Logos Program Review

public engagement efforts facilitated by Y Station

Over the last few years, enrolment in the EIPS Logos Christian Program has declined significantly, making it challenging to offer fulsome Logos programming. To determine the best possible solution, EIPS is seeking feedback from the Logos school community to address the enrolment concerns. The Board then review all the feedback collected and made a final decision about how to ensure the Logos program continues to provide high-quality educational experiences to students in spring 2023.

Latest Update

The Division’s explored changes to the Logos program to ensure it continues providing a high-quality educational experience to students. To determine the best possible solution for addressing the enrolment decline, EIPS consulted the Logos school community, using a two-phased engagement approach, between June and October of 2022.

In December 2022, the Division presented all the feedback collected from the public engagement efforts to the Board of Trustees. It was decided to postpone a final decision about Logos programming until after the returning student registration process takes place in February 2023. The delay allowed the Board to see the actual registration numbers for Logos in 2023-24, and it gave the Logos community the time they asked for to promote the program leading up to the returning student registration process.

Once the process closed, the Board reviewed all the Logos enrolment numbers and made a final decision to consolidate the elementary Logos Christian program at Brentwood Elementary, starting in the 2023-24 school year.
