In teaching our students, EIPS brings together core academics subjects, diverse optional programming, and a strong emphasis on character education.   • Elk Island Public Schools (EIPS) is one of Alberta's largest school divisions serving approximately 17,950 students in 42 schools.
  • The Division was formed in 1995 after regionalization.
  • Schools range in size from 20 students to approximately 1,500 students.
  • The Division employs approximately 880 full-time equivalent teaching staff and 550 full-time equivalent non-teaching staff.
