Thank you to those who joined Elk Island Public Schools (EIPS) at last night’s public consultation for James Mowat Elementary. As you likely know, the Division is consulting with school families to develop a community-supported solution to best manage student growth and address student capacity issues at James Mowat. A second session takes place tomorrow at 5:30 p.m. EIPS hopes to see everyone there.
Next Public Engagement Meeting: James Mowat Enrolment Pressures
WHEN: Thursday, June 16 — 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
WHERE: James Mowat Elementary; gymnasium; 9625 82 St.; Fort Saskatchewan, AB
WHAT: A conversation with the community focused on its needs and how to best manage the enrolment growth at James Mowat Elementary.
If you can’t make it to either session, that’s OK. You can still submit input by completing the online Enrolment Pressures Feedback Survey. The contracted public-consultation company, Y Station, will review all the feedback gathered and compile a report—from the public engagement meetings and survey responses. EIPS will then use that information to develop possible options to best manage the enrolment growth at the school. The survey is anonymous and takes about five to 10 minutes to complete.
Take the survey now!
survey closes June 30, 2022
the survey link is also available at eips.ca
NOTE: Enrolment pressures affect current and future students. As such, addressing these pressures will impact both the current and future James Mowat Elementary school community.
Further consultations are planned for fall 2022. To learn more about the James Mowat Elementary enrolment pressure consultation process visit eips.ca. As always, EIPS will keep school families updated as the process progresses.
