If you've registered and paid for busing prior to June 30, you'll receive a bus pass in the mail no later than Aug. 23, 2024.
On the back of the bus pass, you'll find your child’s name and bus number(s). The bus pass is also a scan card that registers your child each time he/she boards the bus. It's a unique feature allowing you, as the parent/guardian, to confirm your child is actually on the bus. Your child is required to carry their bus pass at all times.
Included with your bus pass is a retractable lanyard, which attaches the bus pass to your child’s backpack. This is to help ensure your child always has their bus pass.
There are two apps available for parents and guardians to stay connected and informed.
My Ride K-12 Website and App
My Ride K-12 is used to view your child’s busing information including bus stop location, bus numbers, and pickup and drop off times.
Please compare the numbers on your child’s bus pass to the numbers on the MyRide K-12 app schedule to ensure you and your child understand them. Using our Online Service Desk please report any discrepancies.
Bus Status App
The Bus Status app helps you stay informed about bus delays and cancellations. While Student Transportation will always inform parents and guardians about these events, the Bus Status app can allow you to see these updates sooner.
All EIPS transfers are secure sites. Bus riders of all ages may be required to transfer buses. Even younger students have shown great proficiency in transferring safely and happily.
There are permanent Safety Monitors stationed at all transfer sites who ensure students make it to the correct buses. At the beginning of the school year, we also have extra Safety Monitors present to offer additional assistance. If your child ever needs help at a transfer site, they can safely approach any adult in a safety vest.
What happens at the transfer sites?
The Code of Conduct details rules that must be followed on all EIPS buses. Please ensure you review this document with all students who will be riding the bus.
First-time bus riders are encouraged to sign up for the Little Elk Island Adventure program that teaches students how to safely ride the school bus. While the program is targeted toward incoming Kindergarten students, students of all ages are welcome to attend.
For more information, to register for busing, or if your child will not be utilizing bus services for the 2024-25 school year, please send us a detailed message—including student names using our Online Service Desk
