Board Approves Revised Boundaries for Bruderheim Boundary Area
At the regular December 19 meeting, Elk Island Public Schools (EIPS) approved revised boundaries for the Bruderheim area. The Board maintained the current Bruderheim School elementary boundaries with only a small change in the far southwest corner of Lamont County where no elementary students currently reside, and adjusted the junior/senior high boundary so that all students living within the Bruderheim School K-6 attendance boundary will now have Lamont High as their designated school for junior and senior high.
This change designates the majority of Bruderheim students to attend the closest junior and senior high school, Lamont High. It also follows a feeder school framework by assigning all Bruderheim students together to the same junior/senior high once they finish Grade 6. These changes will take effect in September 2014.
Thank you to all the parents, students, staff, and community members who participated in the boundary review consultation.
