Thank you to everyone who attended the community conversation on April 25. At the meeting, Elk Island Public Schools (EIPS) shared with families the challenges the Division faces with its schools in Fort Saskatchewan—specifically, the limited and ageing infrastructure, the region’s growing population and anticipated capacity challenges. It also discussed how it plans to address these and ways the community can help.

For those of you who couldn’t make the meeting, that’s OK. EIPS has put together a recap of the major points discussed throughout the conversation. The information is also posted online, along with background information, updates and important contact information.

EIPS is also developing a frequently asked questions (FAQ) document for families and staff. If you have questions you want answered, simply send them to communications@eips.ca. EIPS will do its best to answer them within the FAQ document. Once ready, EIPS will post the document online and update it regularly.

Again, thank you for your participation. EIPS will continue to keep you informed—as information becomes available. In the meantime, for more information or to subscribe for updates, visit eips.ca.

Sincerely,
